This reflects a 42 percent reduction in sales activity over the month before, with a combined land value of $11 million for all property and land sold in the state. Rockbridge County had the most land sales recently in the state. In terms of size, Virginia is the country's 35th-largest state, covering an area of 42,769 square miles (27 million acres). Game species to be found on land for sale in Virginia include whitetail deer, turkey, bear, ducks, and dove. Fishermen can enjoy casting for bass, catfish, trout, pike, and walleye.
